About Us
Grafton Riding Club commenced in the mid 70's and became a formal incorporated association on 12th June 1986. The Club has operated at Hawthorne (Rodeo) Park, Minden Street, South Grafton throughout this time. (Click here for some history of Hawthorne Park)
The main aims of the club are to foster the classical forms of horse training and riding and to organise and conduct meetings for instruction, practice and competition in riding, hacking, dressage, show jumping and cross country for riders of all ages and levels of ability.
The Club conducts general training days on the first Sunday of the month from February to November and organises a range of competitions such as Official/Associate Dressage, T-Shirt Dressage Training, Hack Shows and Gymkhanas.
The Club is an associated member of Equestrian Australia NSW and club membership registrations are aligned from January 1st through to December 31st (fiscal year).
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the South Grafton Ex-Servicemans Club and information about club business and activities is distributed through a monthly newsletter (which is emailed) and the club website.
The Grafton Riding Club promotes fellowship amongst people of all ages through horse related social interaction in a club atmosphere that is renowned for being friendly and welcoming.
